From: cumberlandjimmy Date: 30-Jul-10 Del The Cat is doing well he's a wonderful pet and so glad he stopped by after Delfest weekend 2010. he's here to stay....... he's beautiful.....not puurrrrrfect because apparently another cat bit part of his ear off....so he's got one pointy ear and one flat one! anyway.....Del the cat is doin well. can't wait for DELluride 2011! peace all! From: cumberlandjimmy Date: 30-Jun-10 so on memorial day i got home from Delfest 2010, after staying up til 4:20 am for the late night Cornmeal/The Bridge show. I went outside into my backyard and this large long-haired black cat comes out from behind my lillies......with a really loud meow.....kinda freaked me out a bit. anyway, the cat kept walking toward me, I really wasn't sure if the cat was cool or gonna tear me up, or was injured or whatever. anyway, i fed the cat because it seemed hungry. It had a swollen eye, and most of the hair on the cheeks was gone. The gender unkown cat seemed to be saying, hey bro i need a lil food and a lil love. needless to say, i named it Della, and continued to feed it. Lately we have had an adult black bear and her 2 cubs in the yard next door.....I'm in the city...and well, i was a bit concerend the cat may meet up with the bears.....so far it hasn't happened and we haven't seen the bears for @ 10days now. The cat also was missing the pointed top of its ear. and it's eye was a little scratched up, but it's health seemed ok.....and getting better w care. Anyway, i took the cat to the vet to find out if it was chipped. It is not......but i did find out it is a male cat, @ 2 yrs old, and is fixed. His name now is Del the cat. He is a really nice guy with big ole claws, and a super firendly disposition. So far he is stayin outside but seems to stay real close......fortunately he wasnt run over the 2 times he crossed the street, but it was 2 close calls for sure. I didn't really want another cat, but Del seemed to want someone in his life besides the birds and bees and other stray cats.......so now Del is good on his shots, is disease free, healthy as could be, as well as loving. I wanted to share that with yas.....i will try to post a picture of Del the Cat asap....if i can figure out how to work this interweb picture posting stuff..... anyway...Del Yeah, DELaney NO!!!! please show up for the liquor board meetings and/or call Mr Delaney and ask him to resign. 301-724-4685 write Kevin Kelly or call and ask him to sign the inquiry letter that Mr Edwards or some unknown stranger is submitting to the Liquor Board, and call or email the governor and ask him to remove Delaney from the board..... peace all~ We Need Delfest to stay right here in Cumberland.....2 cents. enjo your day!
